Sell gift certificates from your own page, redeem them with a scan.

Certificates: each one with its value and what is left
Redeem: the Balance Ring showing $35 left after a $25 redemption on a $100 certificate

What it does

A gift page in your shop’s name.

Customers pick an amount or a named treatment, choose a design, add a message and the recipient, and pay with a card through Stripe Checkout. The buyer gets a receipt and the recipient gets the certificate by email, with a QR code, a printable PDF attached and a page they can open any time.

The Balance Ring at the counter.

Scan the QR or type the twelve-character code. A ring shows what is left; type the amount used and the ring shrinks before you confirm. Whatever is left stays on the certificate, and the customer can take a receipt.

Counter sales, no platform fee.

Sell a certificate in person, paid in cash or on your own card reader. Hand it over on screen, by email, as a link or as a printed PDF. Counter sales never carry a GiftPage fee.

Keeps working when the wifi drops.

A redemption or a counter sale made without a connection is saved on the phone and sent when the connection returns. A balance waiting on the server is shown as pending, never as final, so two counters cannot spend the same money.

Every certificate, every balance.

Sold, redeemable, used up and voided, with search by name or code. The outstanding total shows the service you still owe on certificates that can be used. Export the whole list as CSV for your accountant.

Designs, your logo and the busy seasons.

Six certificate designs, your own photo as the background on Solo and Pro, or on Pro a background drawn by AI from a few words. Your logo sits above your name on every certificate. Sell treatments such as a massage or a facial by name. A reminder three weeks before December, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day says it is time to share your page.

Why it works this way

The money goes to you, not to us.

Buyers pay through Stripe Checkout on your shop’s own Stripe account. GiftPage never holds the money, and refunds and disputes are handled in your Stripe dashboard. A full refund there voids the certificate in the app.

Fair to the person holding the certificate.

Certificates have no expiry date and no fees unless you choose one. If you set an expiry, the app explains the US federal five-year minimum and that several states, California and Washington among them, forbid expiry on most gift certificates.

The balance is decided in one place.

Every redemption runs as a transaction on the server, keyed to the phone that made it, so a double tap or a queued redemption sent twice is applied once. The certificate’s own web page shows the live balance to the customer.

What you sold stays readable.

Every certificate and redemption stays readable on every plan. If a paid plan ends, the record is still there and the page keeps selling at the standard fee.

Questions

How do customers buy a certificate?

From your gift page, a web page in your shop’s name. They pick an amount or a treatment, a design and a message, and pay by card through Stripe Checkout. The certificate arrives by email with a QR code and a page they can print.

Where does the money go?

Straight to your shop’s own Stripe account. On the standard tier GiftPage keeps 2.5% of each page sale, Solo lowers it to 1% and Pro removes it. Stripe’s own card fee is separate, and counter sales carry no GiftPage fee.

Can a certificate be used in parts?

Yes. Redeem any amount up to the balance; the rest stays on the certificate. The Balance Ring shows what will be left before you confirm.

Does it work without wifi?

Redemptions and counter sales made offline are saved on the phone and sent when the connection returns. The balance shows as pending until the server confirms it. Publishing the page and card payments need a connection.

Do certificates expire?

Not by default. You can choose an expiry of five, seven or ten years for certificates sold from then on; the app explains the federal rule and that many states forbid expiry. It is not legal advice.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Only for selling on your gift page. You set it up from the Page tab in a few minutes, in your shop’s name. Counter sales and redemptions work without it.

Is the gift page in Spanish?

The gift page, the certificate page and the emails are in English and Spanish, chosen from the buyer’s browser. The app itself is in 10 languages.
