THE TREATMENT RECORD
Each application is a line in the record
FlareLog records treatment by body area. Every application sits against one of eleven areas on the day it went on, so the areas you rate and the areas you treat use the same list.

Rate the skin, area by area
Tap an area on the front or back figure and rate it from 0 to 10. It is your own rating, labelled as self-reported. FlareLog does not use EASI, PASI or any other clinical instrument, and it never adds your areas together into one number.
Then what went on it
The product, the area, the amount if you have it, and whether it was part of the regimen. On the body map, a ring marks each area that had something applied that day.
Every day stays readable
Any past day read back: the areas you rated, itch and sleep, and each cream with its amount.
A child figure is one tap away on Today. It changes the body map, and the fingertip unit guide shows the published figures for children by age. FlareLog never fills an amount in for you and never suggests how much to use.
INSIGHTS
The arithmetic stays on the screen
Insights count what you recorded and show the working. There are no thresholds, no targets and no traffic lights.
- Steroid applications, 7, 14 or 28 days
- How many, and on how many of those days. A trailing window, so twice weekly maintenance does not read as a broken streak.
- Days on active treatment
- Counting topical steroids and calcineurin inhibitors, and not emollients.
- Runs of consecutive days
- Counted per area, so each area shows how many days in a row it has had something applied.
- Days since your last steroid
- Shown as a fact, not a target. It counts only what you recorded: a long gap means no steroid application was logged.
- By body area
- Applications, days and fingertip units per area, with a total weighted by potency. The app says on the same screen that the weighting summarises your record and is not a clinical equivalence.
The standard tier works these out over the last 90 days. Paid works them out over your whole record. Nothing you have entered is hidden either way.

It records what you enter and shows it back. It does not diagnose.
It never recommends a dose
Or a potency, a schedule or a taper. It will never tell you to start, stop, reduce or continue a treatment. Those are decisions for you and your clinician.
It does not score your skin
Your ratings stay yours, area by area. There is no EASI, no PASI and no combined number.
It does not link triggers to flares
Tags for what might have set it off are recorded and shown back. A diary of a few dozen days cannot support a correlation, so the app does not print one.
It does not lock your history
Everything you have entered stays readable on every tier, and writing a backup is never restricted.

Before you install it
Does FlareLog tell me how much to use?
No. It records what you enter and shows it back. It never recommends a dose, a potency, a schedule or a taper. Those are decisions for you and your clinician.
Where do I find the potency?
Usually on the leaflet, or from your prescriber or pharmacist, because it is often not printed on the pack. FlareLog stores the UK or US ladder you enter and never works one out from the other.
What is a fingertip unit?
The amount squeezed from a tube with a standard 5 mm nozzle, along an adult index finger from the last crease to the tip. It is often described as roughly half a gram. The field is optional.
Is my rating a clinical score?
No. It is your own 0 to 10 rating of each area. FlareLog does not use EASI, PASI or any other instrument, and it never adds your areas together into one number.
Can I take it to an appointment?
Yes. FlareLog makes a dated PDF summary. The standard tier builds a one page preview, marked as a preview, and paid builds the full document. The PDF is written in English.
Does it need an account or a connection?
No account and no sign in. Your diary is kept on your device. The standard tier shows a banner ad, and the app sends crash and usage diagnostics.
