Last time’s clip, blade by blade
A groom is recorded against seven parts of the dog: body, legs, head, ears, tail, feet and sanitary. Each part holds the blade or comb you entered, with its length from the standard chart beside it, so 5F reads as a quarter inch and a half-inch comb says so. The field takes anything, so “scissored” goes in as it is.

A new groom opens with last time’s entries already in it and says which groom they came from, so repeating a cut means saving it and changing one means editing that part.

Today, in booking order
Today lists the dogs booked in, with the breed, the owner, the price and how long you have them for. Move a dog through arrived, in progress, ready and collected as the day goes, and mark a no-show when one does not turn up.
A card for every dog
Breed, size, the owner and their number, and what the dog is like to handle: nervous, bites, hates the dryer, hates nails, matting prone, senior, needs a muzzle, good with others, or a medical note. Photos of the dog sit on the card too.
The groom history
Every groom you have recorded, newest first, each one reading back as the blades you used. Repeating a cut from three visits ago is a matter of opening it.
Vaccination dates
Record the dates the owner gave you for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, leptospirosis or anything else. A date within 30 days of running out is flagged on the dog’s row in the list, and the card names the kinds you have no record of.
Your prices, your sizes
Build a price list of services and add-ons across four size bands. The services arrive named and unpriced, and a size you have not priced shows a dash rather than a figure. With Pro, quote a groom by picking the dog’s size and the add-ons.
Reminders, payments and PDFs
Get a reminder before each booking, before a vaccination date the owner gave you runs out, and when a dog is due back on the rebooking interval you set. Record what you were paid and how: cash, card, bank transfer or other. With Pro, send an invoice or a receipt as a PDF.

Built around the dog on the table
The record is the cut
GroomDesk holds the blade or comb entered against each of the seven parts of the dog, for every groom, alongside the booking it belongs to. It is the part of the visit the next visit is built on.
Never that a dog is protected
GroomDesk records the dates an owner reported and says so on the screen. It does not verify a vaccination with a vet and never tells you a dog is safe to handle.
The average ticket, spelled out
The average ticket is what you took divided by the payments you recorded. Grooms recorded and payments recorded are counted separately and both are shown, because a visit can be paid for without a clip record and the two numbers answer different questions.
No account and no ads
Your book is kept on your phone. There is no sign-up and no advertising anywhere in the app. It sends crash reports and usage statistics so problems can be found and fixed.
Moving phones
Back up to one file, photos included, and restore it on the new phone. There is no cloud copy.

Before you install it
Is GroomDesk for booking a groomer?
No. It is for people who groom dogs for a living and keep their own clients.
Do my clients need the app?
No. There is nothing for them to install and no account for them to make. With Pro you can send an invoice or a receipt as a PDF from your own phone.
Does it check that a dog’s vaccinations are up to date?
No. It records the dates the owner told you, and flags one when it is within 30 days of the date they gave you. It does not contact a vet, does not verify anything, and never says a dog is protected.
What happens if I never upgrade?
You keep up to 15 dogs. Every dog, groom and photo you already have stays open and editable.
Can I record a cut that is not a blade number?
Yes. The blade field takes anything you type, so “scissored”, “hand stripped” or your own shorthand all go in. Where you enter a blade or comb it recognises, the length from the standard chart is shown beside it.
What if I change phones?
Back up to one file, photos included, and restore it on the new phone. There is no account and no cloud copy.
