This week: Leo at week 15, about 3 months, with what many babies do by about 4 months

What it does

Your week at a glance.

Open the app and your baby's week is there: age in weeks and months, what many babies do by the next checkpoint in four areas (social and feelings, talking and understanding, thinking and learning, moving), one idea to try this week and your recent moments. Step back or ahead a week to see what is coming up.

Moments with a photo and a date.

Record a milestone from the guide or something in your own words, with the date it happened, a photo and a note. Moments line up on a timeline, newest first.

The firsts in one place.

First smile, first laugh, first roll, sitting up, first word and first steps each have a place waiting, so the firsts sit together with their photos.

200 play ideas.

Short, simple things to do together, sorted by age from birth to 3. Mark the ones you tried and keep favourites.

Ready for the health visit.

Set the date of the next visit and a reminder comes the day before. Note questions as they come up, add a line on sleep and feeding if you want to, then share a one-page PDF with your moments, questions and notes.

Corrected age for babies born early.

If your baby was born three weeks or more before the due date, add the due date and the guide uses corrected age until two years old.

Why it works this way

It never says a baby is behind.

Children reach milestones at different times. The CDC checklists describe what about three in four children do by each age. GrowWeeks is a record for you, not a test.

Where the guidance comes from.

The milestones follow the checklists the US CDC published in 2022 for ages 2 months to 3 years, rewritten in plain words. The About the guide screen shows the WHO timing windows for six motor milestones. The play ideas are our own.

Your records stay on your phone.

There is no account. One backup file holds every moment and photo, restores on another phone and can be shared with the other parent, and backup is included at every tier. Crash reports and usage statistics are sent to help fix problems; neither contains your records.

It is not medical advice.

GrowWeeks does not assess or screen development. If you have concerns about your child's development, talk to your health visitor or your child's doctor.

Questions

What age is GrowWeeks for?

From birth to 3 years. The guide's checkpoints run from 2 months to 3 years, and the weekly card shows the checkpoint your baby is growing towards.

Will it tell me if my baby is behind?

No. GrowWeeks never says a baby is early, late or behind, and it does not assess or screen development. If you have concerns, talk to your health visitor or your child's doctor.

My baby was born early. Which age does it use?

If your baby was born three weeks or more before the due date, you can add the due date. GrowWeeks then shows the guide using corrected age until two years old.

Can both parents use it?

Each phone keeps its own records. Make a backup file in Settings and share it with the other parent; restoring it adds the moments and photos to their phone.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The guide, moments, play ideas, reminders and the visit summary work offline. Crash reports and usage statistics are sent when the phone is online.

What languages is it in?

English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, the guide and play ideas included.

Can I move to a new phone?

Yes. Make a backup file in Settings and restore it on the new phone, from Settings or from the first screen of a fresh install. Backup is included at every tier.
