HandSage Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ClearStack Apps ("we", "us", "our") operates the HandSage mobile application. HandSage reads the lines of your palm and works out your numerology numbers, for entertainment. This policy explains what the app keeps on your phone, what it sends to our server, and how to delete it.

2. Your Palm Photo Stays on Your Phone

You take or pick a photo of your palm and line it up in an outline. The app finds your heart, head, life and fate lines on the phone itself. The photo is never uploaded, to us or to anyone else.

3. What Is Sent to Write a Reading

When you tap Read my palm, the app sends our server the measurements of your four lines: numbers such as length, curve, depth and breaks, scores for the raised areas of the palm, which hand it is, whether you write with it, and your language. Our server turns those numbers into notes from a fixed palmistry guide, and an AI language model rewrites the notes as the reading you see.

• The model: Google's Gemini model on Google Cloud Vertex AI, called by our own server. Google does not use this data to train its models.
• What we keep: the measurements and the reading text, so a reading you report can be checked and so the same reading can be sent again if the connection drops.
• What is never sent: the photo, your name, your birth date or your email address.

4. What Stays on Your Phone

Your palm photos, your readings, the names and birth dates you enter for numerology, and your settings are stored in the app on your phone. Your numbers and your daily card are worked out on the phone. The daily card notification is scheduled on the phone. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this. A backup you make from Settings is a file you keep; we never receive it.

5. Your Account

There is no sign-up and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account with Firebase Authentication, so our server can keep your plan and your reading count. For each install we keep:

• your plan: the free reading, whether a trial, a subscription or the lifetime unlock is active, and when it ends
• a count of readings for the day, used to limit misuse
• your readings, as described in section 3, until you delete them

6. Purchases

Purchases are handled by Google Play. When you buy, the app sends the purchase token to our server so it can confirm the purchase with Google and unlock HandSage Plus. We keep the token so your plan can be restored on your other phones and tablets (up to five at once) and so a refund ends it. We never see or store your card details. A subscription is cancelled in Google Play, not in the app.

7. Reports

Every reading has a report button. If you report one, we keep the reason you picked, any note you write and the reading's text, so the palmistry guide can be fixed. A report is deleted when you use Delete everything, or when you ask us by email.

8. Ads

On the standard tier, HandSage shows a Google AdMob banner on the Numbers and Daily screens. AdMob uses the advertising ID and may use other device information to show and measure ads. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice later in Settings. HandSage Plus and the trial show no ads.

9. Crash Reports and Analytics

• Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): crash reports, stack traces, device model, operating system and app version, so we can find and fix bugs. These never include your photos or readings.
• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): basic usage events such as app opens and screen views.

10. Who Else Handles Your Data

• Google LLC: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Vertex AI, Crashlytics, Analytics, AdMob and Google Play Billing, with our server data held in the United States. Firebase privacy information and how Google uses data from ads.

We do not sell your data or rent it. We do not look at your readings unless you report one.

11. Seeing and Deleting Your Data

• See it: open Settings, then See my data on the server. The app shows everything our server holds for your install.
• Delete one reading or one palm: use the menu on the reading. It is removed from your phone and from our server. If the phone is offline at the time, the server copy stays until you use Delete everything.
• Delete everything: open Settings, then Delete everything. This deletes every palm, reading and person on your phone, and on our server deletes your install's account, readings and reports. It cannot be undone. A plan you bought stays with your Google account and can be restored.
• Delete by email: write to support@clearstackapps.com with the date you last used the app and ask for your data to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

Purchase records are kept, without your install's id, so a purchase can still be restored. Crash, analytics and ads data follow Google's retention periods.

12. Permissions

• Camera and photos: you take a palm photo with the phone's camera app, or pick one in the system photo picker. The app sees only the photo you choose.
• Notifications and alarms: to show the daily card at the time you pick. You can turn the card off in Settings.
• Internet: readings, purchases, ads and crash reports.

13. Entertainment Only

Palmistry and numerology are traditions, not science. Nothing in HandSage is advice about health, money, relationships, the law or the future.

14. Children

HandSage is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

15. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and object to how it is used. Email us at the address below. You can also complain to the UK ICO or your local data protection authority.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
