StopBoard Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

1. Introduction

ClearStack Apps ("we", "us", "our") operates the StopBoard mobile application and the truck pages it serves at stopboard.web.app. StopBoard is where a food truck plans its week of stops and menu and shows them to customers. This policy explains what is stored, where, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to delete it. It covers StopBoard only; the rest of ClearStack Apps is covered by our main privacy policy.

2. What StopBoard Stores

  • The business's account: an anonymous account is created when the app first opens. If the business adds an email address and password, they are held by Google Firebase Authentication and never seen by us. The name a seat gives is stored with the business.
  • The truck's profile: its name, what it serves, a short description, Instagram name, phone, logo and cover photo, page address, page colour and time zone.
  • Stops: for each stop, the spot's name, its map position, the day or weekday, the hours, and whether it repeats or is an event.
  • The menu: for each item, its name, description, price, photo, tags and whether it is sold out.
  • The Open flag: when the truck is open, the spot, its map position and the closing time.
  • View counts: a daily count of how many times the page was opened. It is a number; no visitor's address, identity or device is stored with it.
  • Purchase check: if the business buys a plan from Google Play, the purchase token, used only to confirm the purchase with Google and to renew or end the plan.

3. Location

StopBoard reads the phone's location only when the owner taps "Use my location" or opens somewhere unplanned, one read at a time, while the app is on screen. There is no background location and the truck is never tracked. The read is stored only if the owner saves it as a stop or opens at that spot, and then it is shown on the public page. A stop can be placed by hand on the map instead, without giving the app location permission.

Searching for an address sends the words typed to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. Maps come from OpenFreeMap, and the map on the public page comes from OpenStreetMap; those services see the requests a map makes, as any website would. Directions on the public page open in the visitor's own maps app.

4. Crash Reports and Analytics

  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): crash reports, device model, operating system and app version, so we can find and fix bugs.
  • Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): basic usage events such as app opens and screen views, tied to a random ID for the app on your phone. The advertising ID is not collected.

These never include stops, menus, photos, names or contact details. StopBoard shows no third-party ads. The free tier shows a banner for ClearStack's own website service; nothing from the business's records is used to choose it. Nothing in a business's records is sold or shared with advertisers.

5. Where It Is Stored

On Google Cloud (Firebase) in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. The app keeps a copy on the phone so the planner works without a connection; changes made offline stay on the phone until they are sent.

6. Who Can See It

  • Every seat of the business (the owner and, on Pro, one helper) sees the business's trucks, stops and menus.
  • Anyone with a truck's page address sees what the business published there: the truck's name and contact lines, its stops with their map positions, its menu, and whether it is open now. The page changes only when the business updates it, apart from the Open flag and the sold-out marks, and it comes down when the business takes it down. It is public and search engines may find it.
  • We do not read businesses' records. Google acts as our processor to store them.

7. Deleting the Business or Your Account

In the app: Settings, then Delete account, and confirm. Or email support@clearstackapps.com from the address on the account. When the owner deletes the account, the whole business goes with it: every truck, stop, menu item and photo, the published pages and the page addresses. A helper who deletes their account leaves the business; what they added stays with it.

A single stop or menu item can be deleted from its screen, and it leaves the page at the next update. Crash reports are kept by Firebase for 90 days and then deleted.
